the archive

a living record of Black creativity, community, and cultural memory.

The Daughter of Dallas Archive preserves the complex cultural life of Dallas’ creative communities.
Our hybrid approach includes: 1) building a private members-only collection, 2) providing public access to Dallas culture stories through free and accessible platforms like YouTube, and 3) partnering with institutions like the Irma McClaurin Black Feminist Archive at UMASS Amherst to protect our culture in perpetuity. The ultimate goal is to install and operate a brick-and-mortar archive in Dallas, Texas.
